Just like your body, your mind can be trained and improved. Our BOUNCEuP a Sport Approach to Resilience Primary Webinar teaches young students about resilience and gives them tools and skills to build up, train and than practice their resilience- Just like you do to get better at sport or school you have to train and practice. We use a framework and around the word GRIT that is sometimes used to explain Resilience. In the context of this Webinar
G stands for- Getting back on your Bike (coping with difficult situations / events)
R stands for- Reflect on your Strengths (Getting picked fo the team)
I stands for- Improve your thinking / feeling ( Self talk)
T stands for – Training & Practice (Taking action to promote and then maintain Resilience).
The Primary Webinar in full is 52 minutes, which is broken down into three 15-20 minute intervals to support viewing with younger audiences. Teachers are encouraged to discuss the learning with their class to aid in the retention of content. In addition to the Webinar teachers can also enrol in our E-Therapy Guide that provides a more in depth approach along with more activities, tools and tips to help them, their families and students to build and maintain strong resilience.
